Temporary email: common questions
What is a temporary email address?
It is an email address with a short-lived inbox. TossMyMail lets you receive mail in your browser without signing up. It is also called disposable or throwaway email. Use it when you need a message now and do not need that address later.
Can I copy a verification code?
Yes. If we find a likely code in the full message text, a copy button appears beside the preview. You can also open the email and select the text. Check which code the sender asks you to use; detection can miss a code or show more than one.
How long does my temporary email last?
Each inbox expires after 10 minutes. Expired inboxes cannot be read or receive new messages. Stored messages are removed within about five minutes after expiry. Refresh this page to keep the same active inbox in this tab. Add 10 minutes up to a 30-minute total lifetime. Closing the tab normally clears its access details, though browser session restore can vary. The inbox still expires on time.
Can I send emails from this address?
No. Tossmymail is receive only. You can get messages but not send them. That is by design to keep things simple and prevent spam.
Is this really free?
Yes. No signup or payment is required. Daily service limits apply; if they are reached, try again after the next daily reset.
What if a site blocks my temporary address?
Some sites block known disposable email domains. Generating a new address on the same domain will not bypass a domain block. If a site rejects tmmail.net, use an email service that meets its requirements.
How do I get a brand new address?
Click "New address" under your current email. We will create a new one right away.
